About the ISLAND
The story began when New Englander Ebenezer Harker left Boston in the 1720s...and bought 2400 acre Craney Island on the coast of the Crown's Carolina Colony in 1730
Then, the island was a primative maritime forest.
Today, it is home to descendents of the original Harker family, descendents of Shackleford Bank migrants, and many mainland retirees.
